The Mysterious Angel Charm

One night in bed, I felt something touch my foot—a tiny silver angel charm. Confused, I kept it in my wallet for luck.

Twelve years later, while living abroad, I attended a corporate party. A girl I had never met stared at me, saying I looked familiar. I assured her she was mistaken, as I had only moved to France a year ago.

As we spoke, I noticed her necklace held a charm identical to mine, but in gold. Curious, I checked my wallet—my charm was missing. A sudden chill ran through me. When I turned back, she was gone.

I never saw her again. I described her to my colleagues, but no one recalled seeing her at the party. To this day, the memory gives me goosebumps.
