Figure skaters’ ‘final words to their son’ before American Airlines plane crash with BlackHawk revealed

Former world champion figure skaters Evgenia Shishkova, 53, and Vadim Naumov, 56, died in the January 28 midair collision between an American Airlines plane and a Black Hawk helicopter near Washington, D.C. The couple had just spoken to their son, Team USA skater Maxim Naumov,

 

before the crash.Flight 5342, carrying figure skaters, coaches, and families from the National Development Camp, crashed into the Potomac River while approaching Reagan National Airport. Shishkova and Naumov, who moved to the U.S. in 1998 to coach, were mourned by the figure skating community.
