At least 15 people lost their lives in a tragic accident in Manitoba, Canada, on Thursday. A bus carrying elderly passengers to a casino collided with a truck at an intersection near Carberry, about 170 kilometers west of Winnipeg.

Deputy Police Officer Rob Hill of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police confirmed the fatalities, while ten others are receiving medical care. Both drivers survived, but responsibility for the crash remains undetermined.

Images from the scene show wheelchair seats and walking frames amid the wreckage. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Manitoba Premier Heather Stefanson extended condolences to the victims’ families and the injured. Investigations into the devastating incident are ongoing.
