A 19-Year-Old Football Player Drowns In His Own Stomach Acid While Speaking To His Mother On The Phone

Luca Manolache, a 19-year-old footballer for Metaloglobus București, tragically passed away after battling serious health issues. His condition worsened in the weeks before his death, as he experienced “extreme fatigue, dizziness, and blood in his stool.”

On February 28, Luca collapsed. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to severe internal bleeding. In a heartbreaking call to his mother, he asked, “Do you think I’m dying?” His final moments were marked by complications that led to him “ultimately drowning in his own stomach acid.”

Metaloglobus București paid tribute to Luca, honoring his passion for football and his dedication to the team. “He was a true fighter on and off the field,” the club shared in their statement.

His passing serves as a painful reminder of the importance of monitoring athletes’ health, even among the young and seemingly strong.

Though gone far too soon, Luca’s legacy as a talented and beloved teammate will live on. Rest in peace, Luca—you will never be forgotten.
